I'm Jonathan, a UK national who's spent nearly 18 years living and working in travel media in Southeast Asia. First in 2007, I arrived in Singapore as a chief sub-editor for inflight magazines. In 2016 I went freelance, refined my parallel travel-writing career and journeyed extensively around the region. My three favourite countries in SE Asia are also those about which I have written most: Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia, perhaps the trifecta of the friendliest nations in this part of the world. Of course, I have also written several pieces on Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. Thanks for reading my blog and enjoy!
